So many sea stacks and rock formations jutting everywhere. Of course at low tide it's time to explore the tide pools and look for sea anemones and starfish. See the purple one Owen found?

Daniel and the boys climbed and hunted around this big island sea stack for a long time. I wandered the beach and worried that the tide would suddenly reverse and trap them out there or sweep them away. The joys of being a mother.
It's kind of hard to capture the way this freshwater stream drains into the ocean, creating ever-shifting patterns in the sand. When we were there (close to low tide), the stream got stuck and created a cobalt pond trapped by shoal and massive logs.

Notice the rock cairn?
