Please pray for my Aunt Sandy and Uncle Robin and their three beautiful daughters, Aimee, Rebekah, and Bethany. Sandy was recently told she has a few weeks to live (after a long battle with cancer) but she's still fighting and loving with all her heart. Meanwhile, Uncle Robin is having major stomach surgery today. I talked to Aunt Sandy on the phone today, and she is just as thoughtful, kind, and down-to-earth as ever.
Here is an excerpt from a recent email from my Uncle Robin:
I believe that my God is able to deliver us from this trial and heal Sandy completely, but if He chooses to do otherwise, Sandy and I and our house will still worship and praise the “One True God” with all of our hearts. We will do our best to find our life and our hope, not just in the works of His Hand, but equally in the depths of his grace and love found only when we do as an old song says,
Turn your eyes upon Jesus.
Look full in His wonderful face.
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
in the light of His Glory and Grace
As much as lies within us we are at peace and doing our best to stay in that place of His presence.
I love this precious family so much and my heart is aching for them. Even in the midst of pain and grief, it is so beautiful to see how much they love each other and how they continue to trust God's care and provision. When I hear about how everyone is pulling together, I feel really proud to be a Bayles.
