We called it The Pit of Despair. I kind of feel like throwing up looking at this picture.
Ah.
Walls are going up. Jack was a huge help to his Daddy! Daniel worked on this for about 3 weekends.
Fortification for the troops. Pistachio baklava.
While Daniel and the kids were away on a dads camping trip this weekend, I polished off the daunting task of going through and organizing the storage area (the entire contents of which had been crammed all over the kids' room for three weeks), cleaning the entire basement, catching up on mounds of laundry, and finishing the detail painting.
The wall Daniel built around the hideous, bulky sump pump. He built shelves inside and around it so we can store all the paint in there. A swish of a pretty curtain and it's adios to that ugliness!
My new home office. Have I mentioned that my husband is a dreamboat?
