Sunday nights

I know I've said it before but sometimes on Sunday nights I get a little blue, missing family. One of my Mom's classic Sunday dinners was lasagna, salad, and "Wacky Cake," which is basically a dairy- and egg-free chocolate cake she would top with fluffy white frosting. So, this past Sunday I made lasagna, sauteed kale, and this beauty.

In case you want to whip one up for yourself, this is a "Perfectly Chocolate" Hershey's cake (it's the recipe on the back of the container: the best!) with Seven-Minute frosting (add 1 tsp. or more of vanilla to this recipe). Daniel used his blowtorch to toast it.

P.S. It was gone by Monday night.
