Last Sunday the boys took part in the very first Mountain Goats Kid Trail Run Series. Our friends Joe and Heath organized the race. Jack and Owen ran the "big kids" trail run--just under 2 miles.

Wow, what a fun morning! It was a perfect fall day, and the trail followed a pretty creek lined with golden trees.

 Jack (red shirt #42) steamed out of the gate but quickly had to adjust his pace. Owen opted for the slow and steady approach (white shirt #43--when he runs by you'll hear Daddy yelling):

Jack insisted on wearing his medal to school the next day. These kids were so proud of themselves! What a fun, positive, and healthy way to get them excited about enjoying the outdoors!
