There is nothing in the world like an old friend, one who has known since you were a teenager full of dreams and lofty ideals and the ludicrous ability to laugh your head off at the silliest thing. Jonalee is that kind of friend to me. We haven't lived in the same state since we were 18, but through letters and visits, we've stayed close over all these years.
Isn't she stunning? I don't think she's gotten the memo about aging. She seriously makes having (homeschooling!) four kids look easy and glamorous.
The big highlight of our weekend was our day retreat at The Makerie in Lyons, but we also got a chance to drive up to Rocky Mountain National Park, and to sneak out for a delicious dinner at The Kitchen downtown.
We had so much fun laughing our heads off as usual, plus having long, winding talks about life and all its tributaries. So grateful for you, dear friend!
