Rachel and Skylar flew out for spring break and Easter. We did what we do best: nature hikes, books, games, lounging in sweatpants, and lots of amazing food!
Family read-a-thon on the bed.
INCREDIBLE Thursday afternoon lunch at Pizzeria Locale in Boulder. It's a pretty elegant restaurant and the kids had the most beautiful manners. Our waiter told us we were a delight to serve. Wow. (Rachel and I agreed it was the best pizza we'd ever had.)
Off for a hike at Chautauqua!
Dying Easter eggs.
Checking out the fancy oven ("The Red Dragon") at our neighborhood bakery, Glaze. They make very special German-Japanese cakes called baumkuchen--and fantastic matcha green tea lattes, too.
We even fit in an adults night out on Friday. It was fun to show Rachel Larimer Square (cute area downtown), check out a cool underground bar called The Green Russell, and eat at one of our favorite restaurants, Cholon.
Saturday afternoon post-Easter Egg Hunt lunch al fresco.
Off for another hike--this time in Golden--with Daddy along, too.
