Christmas in Pennsylvania

The annual Gingerbread Extravaganza! Funny how it used to be gingerbread people. Then gingerbread houses. And now: Gingerbread Santa's Sleigh Complete with Reindeer?

Off to Valley Forge to work off some of that sugar!

Christmas Eve Tradition: Fondue and Bunter Teller around the fire.

Everybody graciously offered to celebrate Christmas a few days early since we had plans to be in Maryland with my family. It worked out well.

The oh-so-early wake-up call for stockings and presents!

Poor Jack was down hard with the flu, but he rallied for presents.

Skylar liked the doll!

A gift from Uncle Jon-Marc. Owen promptly dubbed him "Mr. Hornly." I have no idea where that came from, but he was quite sure that was his new friend's name.

Christmas Day Dinner.

Carol outdid herself yet again, with all the old favorites: rouladen, rot col, and all the trimmings. And, of course, in classic German-British fusion, had to have the good old Christmas crackers!

Bedtime story around the fire.

A Merry Christmas to All, and to All a Good Night!
